John Johnson (1847-1877), son of Martin Johnson Jr. (1813-1897) isn't included with the children.

My recent DNA test connects me to John Johnson (1847-1877), son of Martin Johnson Jr. (1813-1897).  John doesn't appear with Martin Johnson's children.  John is on the 1850 Arkansas Federal Census, Richland Township (24th Oct.), with his family.  Can he be connected to his family?

Yes.  He is on line 37 of the 1850 Arkansas > Madison > Richland Township Federal Census (24th Oct.)  I don't know if he has a profile.

At the top of the page there is Add box, click and in the drop down select ‘person’ and follow directions, don’t forget to check any potential profiles already on Wikitree.

I'm definitely a rookie at this, but I checked as best I could and do not see a profile for John Johnson.  I went to 'add', then 'how to add family', but I believe it said I need to be on a trusted list.  Navigating these online pages isn't second nature for me, but I'm willing to get the job done.  How do I get on the list?  Where do I go from here?

Go to edit on John’s profile. On the right handside is father and underneath is add/remove father click and follow the prompts adding his father’s profile I’d which is Johnson-2447. Click save

Unfortunately I tried that before and got a message that said I had to be on their Trusted List. There is a link to request to be on the list, but when I clicked on the link, I got this:
