The Simpier Surname Study has been started! Anyone willing to join and help please contact me. We have the name variations of St-Pair, Semper, and Champoux. We will be updating the Tasks section soon!! We also need the explanation of why the name has so many changes and variations basically the history of the surname in depth! Anyone with the understanding of the French language, culture and history (particularly Quebec) is strongly encouraged to join and help in our collaborative efforts. Any help is appreciated

I am from the island of St Lucia and my 2x Great grandpa was a Semper.  His brother lived in Colorado USA.  It looks like their  last name was spelt Simper on their birth record. I have been trying to find out whether there is a connection to my family and the Canadian Semper family since I have several dna matches who are Canadians. My family are from Suffolk England.
