Can you help connect a Yukon Commissioner?

This time, we're trying to connect former Commissioners of Yukon. (The title changed over time. Sometimes it was Commissioner, sometimes it was Gold Commissioner, sometimes it was Comptroller, and sometimes it was Controller, but the most common, and current, term is Commissioner, so we're going with that.)

If you can add sources, photos, or biographies, build out the family trees, or improve these profiles in any other ways, so much the better!

P.S. I'm not a WikiTree Leader, and have no authority to assign points, credit, or anything like that. My intent with these challenges is for them to be a fun little break from whatever you're doing regularly. There's no time limit, there are no prizes, and if you have fun finding and adding relatives, then you win. (And WikiTree wins in any case, because the more connected profiles we have, the better the tree is for everybody.)

That said, if you manage to connect any of the profiles listed here to the main tree, there's no reason that you can't count that connection towards the Connectors Challenge, if you're taking part in that. (Or, you could count it towards the Sourcerers Challenge if you run across an unsourced profile which is already on WikiTree and add one or more sources to it.)

P.P.S. If this challenge intrigues you, and you think you might like to try your hand at connecting other unconnected branches, you can find more threads like this on the Places to find unconnected profiles page.

George Ian MacLean was connected since the last time I checked, so this challenge is now in seventh place in terms of percent complete, at 45.5%. In terms of people still to connect, it's in a four-way tie for seventh place, at 6.

I realised that I had missed out several commissioners when I first created this challenge, so I have added two of them: Arthur Wilson and Wilfred George Brown. That drops the percent complete to 38.5%, and increases the number of people to connect to eight. That drops it to eighth place in terms of percent complete, and a three-way tie for 11th place in terms of people still to connect.

Huh. I actually managed to connect Arthur Wilson all by my own self. (And it didn't take me a year and a half to do it, either!) So that bumps this challenge back up to seventh place in terms of percent complete, at 46.2%, and tied for tenth place in terms of people still to connect, at 7.

V. Wilson connected James Morrow Walsh and Frederick Fraser  yesterday, and that leaves this challenge in seventh place in terms of percent complete with 61.5%. In terms of people still to connect, it's in a four-way tie for seventh place, at 5.

Somebody (or a couple of somebodies) connected George Patten MacKenzie and Wilfred George Brown. That moves this challenge up to fourth place in terms of percent complete, at 76.9%. In terms of people still to connect, it's in a three-way tie for second place, with three.

V. Wilson connected George Norris Williams. That leaves this challenge in fourth place in terms of percent complete, at 84.6%, and in a tie with Can you help connect a goodie maker? for second place in terms of people still to connect, at two.

(I have added more Yukon Commissioners to connect on the
Unconnected Canadian Politicians page, but I decided against adding any to this challenge and pushing it down the standings.)

Well. Colour me surprised. I posted this challenge because I wanted to see the same success we had had with Can you help connect a British Columbia Premier or Lieutenant Governor? spread across Canada, but it went so long without any of the commissioners getting connected that I figured that Yukon was just too remote for most people to care about, and the challenge would never be completed. (I never did get around to launching a challenge for Alberta, but I did finally put up the Unconnected Canadian Politicians page to cover the rest of the country.)

But you have proven me wrong. All of the commissioners I listed are now connected. (There are a couple of commissioners whose profiles I have found or created since then on the the Unconnected Canadian Politicians page.)

This challenge has been completed by the wonderful WikiTreers taking part.

My thanks and congratulations to all of you who have helped to connect these people. You are awesome.

And, for those of you who have worked on this challenge, if you want to commemorate the occasion, this is an option:

Completed challenge T-shirt design

I have made this design available on shirts, mugs, mouse pads, buttons, and hats through the WikiTree Love shop on CafePress. But please only order one if you worked on this challenge. (Or if you want to give one to somebody who worked on this challenge.) I do want to try to keep them as "exclusives" for the people who have helped out WikiTree in this way.

Wonderful! Thank you! yes

(And with that one connection, Yukon Commissioners jumped from being tied for last place to being tied for tenth place in terms of percent completed on these challenges.)

Laurie Giffin connected Henry William Newlands yesterday, and that vaults this challenge past three others and makes it tied for 6th place in terms of percent complete with Can you help connect a Rhode Island Congressional Representative? (The reason for the jump is that it's a fairly short list, so connecting even one person moves the percentage a lot more than it would on one of the challenges with a longer list.)
