French transcription from Louisiana

Question

I have been working on the biography of my great x3 grandfather who was born in France and died in Louisiana. Many of the sources are in French and this is fine, I read the language adequately enough for newspapers etc.  However a letter of his is attached to the profile and it is not only in French but also in his terrible handwriting...  I can read enough to determine that it is a deathbed letter giving wishes and instructions to his family.  Can anyone help me transcribe it?  I believe a native speaker could probably sort it pretty fast.

The first line appears to be incomplete (the top is missing) but it ends with "...until he is grown... Delma (?) will take him with him and make him join his brother"

"Inform my family of my death; my father lives in Tours, (he is?) Commandant P. Debaute, officier de la Légion d'honneur. My uncle Cyrus Pophillat is registrar of the Court at Isigny, department of Calvados.

"I wish my body to be transported to Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Delma I hope, will later transport beside me the body of my poor Artémise. This is (...) my desire.

"I die and leave my business very embarrassed, but...

I think the rest goes something like...

Thank you so much.  Delma is the sister of Artémise and so aunt to his eldest three children.  She presumably helped raise the children after his early death.  

And Lise is the mother of Artémise and Delma.

Une saisie très rapide de ce que j'ai pu lire au premier regard.. Je n'ai pas d'accès à Internet ces derniers temps (je profite d'une sortie pour faire les courses pour relever mon courrier). Je ferai une meilleure saisie plus tard. J'ai pu télécharger les photos mais il y a des plis qui avalent une partie  des lettres.

In my Louisiana family the grandmother is always referred to as Ma Mère.  So when Prudent is doing that I assume he is referring to his mother-in-law, Lise, Artémise's mother (his own mother is dead in Coutances).

I took a quick look at it - it’s not bad, to be honest. Not in a place where I can translate the whole thing but if nobody else does I’ll do it when I get back home in 2 hours or so.

I added the birthdate of Hippolyte Prudent DEBAUTE. He was born in 1822 in Isigny-sur-Mer. I also found a sister, Camille Laure DEBAUTE (1818-1819)

Birth record of Hyppolythe Prudent DEBAUTE (frame 21 - number 40)

His parents got married in Isigny in 1816.

Is there a list of good sources to use when researching families in France in the 18th and 19th centuries?  Is this something the France project or French Roots project has put together?

Another question:  Was this family's habit of using the second (or third) given name as the everyday name a common thing in France?  Each of Prudent's children has a first name they never use, as does he.

Nightmare for genealogists!  It doesn't help that Prudent also uses a completely different nom-de-plume.  Does d'Artlys have any significance in France?  Or was it random?

My daddy's name is Minos Joseph and his brother is Vernis Joseph. But they where both bsptised with Joseph as their first name.
