I do not know how to categorize this one:  In 1933, Frank Lynch-Staunton joined A Squadron, South Alberta Horse, at Pincher Creek, serving as a Second Lieutenant. He continued to serve with the Canadian Militia until he retired in 1943 with the rank of Major. What category should I use?

Could make a category for 15th Alberta Light Horse under [[Category:Canadian Militia]].

It was a Calgary based unit. 'The 15th Light Horse' was authorized to be formed in Calgary, Alberta on 3 July 1905. It was redesignated the '15th Canadian Light Horse' on 15 March 1920. On 16 February 1936, it was redesignated the '15th Alberta Light Horse', with the amalgamation of 'The South Alberta Horse'. Today it is perpetuated by The South Alberta Light Horse, a primary reserve armoured unit of the Canadian Armed Forces.

So if I understand this correctly, Frank joined the 'South Alberta Horse' at Pincher Creek, but I should call it the '15th Alberta Light Horse', because he served in that for the longer period.
Sounds reasonable. Alternatively, could make the two categories, 'South Alberta Horse' and '15th Alberta Light Horse'.  But if I had to choose one, 15th would be a broader catchall category.
