Why do the Tabs on Edit page look different than on Profile view page?

Question

Is this just a temporary thing? The tabs on the Edit page of a profile are now in plain text; are there plans to make them consistent with the look on the Profile view page? The current difference looks very odd.

Hi Jillaine! There is an ongoing redesign of all pages in WikiTree. What you see is the new design - nice, don't you think. I'm sure the profilepages will change to!

Hans is correct. This is part of the design change that's been rolling for the past few weeks. I know in many ways it would have been better if it all changed at once, but this is making it a little easier to do testing and make sure everything works for everyone.

So  the tabs as viewed of the edit page are the new? Or the other way.

Correct. As of today, the only place you'll see the old tabs (I think) are on the main profile pages (public or private view). The new design may go live on free-space profiles this weekend.

feedback: the former tab font is far easier to read than what you're replacing it with.

Maybe you were on your way to Paris. :-)

We can come back to this later and take a closer look at why the new design is harder for you to read. For many people it's easier because it's done with a scalable font instead of an image. But there could be something we're missing that would make it work for your system.

the font is skinnier (was bold). in fact, the new font throughout new design is lighter in appearance and more difficult to read. i do like that the tabs are the same color except for the section you're in.
