Advice before editing this pre-1700 Bennett profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of Joane (Bennett) Potkins. This is what I can add:

I was intending to modify a number of the Profiles which I created two or three years ago.

These are the sources I am using:

Parish registers, whether originals which I have examined myself or transcriptions, supplemented where possible by Wills or other parish records such as churchwardens accounts and monumental inscriptions.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Andrew, thanks for this question. Since you have been a member for a while and have made over 50 contributions, you can be pre-1700 certified.

It appears that you would just need to sign the Honor Code if you haven't already. Then, take the self-certification quiz.

You can find the information for this if you go to the Help tab on the upper right of your profile page. In the drop-down box scroll down to Certification and you will see pre-1700.

Thank you for your reply. I signed the Honor Code long ago. I have also been pre-1700 certified for a long time, so it just puzzled me that although I  have created numerous Profiles dating from before 1700 I am not supposed to improve or modify them.

You will still get the pre-1700 warning when you change anything on the profiles. If you are certified, you just ignore it and change the settings. There are those that review changes so anyone who is not pre-1700 certified will be notified as I understand the rules!! Sounds like you are ready to go.
