I'd be interested if you've found out anything about his relatives. My Grandfather and his cousin Max and Alter Silkiner came to the USA about the same time or shortly after Benjamin Silkiner. If there is a connection I would like to make it and share it with my cousins.

I( have a Benjamin Silkiner in my VERY distant part of a family. I only know that his mother's maiden name was Markson--his father was Silkiner--but I do not have a first name nor any dates/[places.. It is the Marksons who are related to my Kubitsky family. Beyond that, I have no information at all on the Silkiners. Sorry to be of so little help.
