We all posed for this picture of the catch of the day, then my cousin David let go of the tail and chaos began as Uncle Brian chased us with the Eel.

Thanks, eel pie isn't to bad it is seasoned well and my gran was a great cook she had a light touch with pastry.

This is one of my favorites of my great-grandmother, Evaline Palmer. She's trying her best to take a nice photo with her grandchildren. Two of the kids are cooperating. The other three are...not.

This is a picture of my great aunt Cora and great uncle Mancil Blair. I lived with them for about 6 months when I was going to college in Mobile, Alabama. They were always cutting up. Broke my heart when they passed away.

I used this one for "Favorite" but it's a favorite because a well dressed gentleman wrasslin' a turkey is funny!  The gentleman is my father's step-great-grandfather, known as Grandpa Purdy.  

My great-great-grandfather died fairly young in 1906, and in 1915 his widow married the milk man, a local farmer named Robert Purdy.  Grandpa Purdy became somewhat of a legend in the family, living just shy of 106 years (1865-1971).

I always thought this photo was funny because Great-Grandpa James Wallace Smalley, of East Dennis, Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts is the only man in this group of Red Cross women but he is attired just like them all the same.  Grandpa James is fourth from the right, you can see his beard!

I've got quite a few funny photos but I particularly enjoy the one my father-in-law riding his pet goat! Not sure how to post it here, so I'll add it to the gallery.

My granddad, Ike Barr, was probably the most hilarious person I'll ever meet in this life.  He could make the sourest person laugh, and his pranks were both voluminous and creative.  So why the wedding picture?  He didn't invite many of his friends to the happiest event of his life...because he'd pulled pranks on so many of them on the day of their weddings.  The wedding was very quiet, and he dodged much-deserved wedding pranks-my grandma was quite glad about this.

Not a really old photo, but typical of a young kid.  We told him to smile and this is what we got .......

My first week of hopefully many to contribute to the feed. 

 I know this is not my grandmother, but it certainly must be one of her friends. Out of the photo book of about 100 pictures she saved, this is one of them.

My grandmother was a colorful woman. I believe she was involved in prostitution either as a madam or as a worker in the 30's and 40's.

This appears to be part of that life.

I could have picked any of my late brother, Jerry's, pictures. He had the best smile, and was always smiling. But I picked this, because he was on the old wall phone, with those long curly cords we kids used as teens to talk to our friends. 
He died 6 years ago - the only one of my biological siblings to have passed away. I am the oldest, and he would have been 55 that April 22, but never made it. He had lost both legs to diabetes, but was an activist, and didn't let his disability keep him indoors! He was beloved.
