Just wondered if Barnabas Wilcox was on anyone in the England or Quakers Projects radar. He isn't at all distinquishing but one of his daughters appears to have married into the Powell family and his wife may have been a Boone, that part isn't proven but it's made me wonder if she was any part of the rest of the Boone family that settled in Pa.

Hi Butch, in answer to your post, I have been looking at Barnabas for some time as he was a possible ancestor of mine, however I can find nothing on his Paternal line.  I do however have a few Wilcox'  living in Bristol at that time , a Zebedee Wilcox with his family living in St. Nicholas Parish, a Quaker and also a Ropemaker. Penns mother lived only a little way from some of my other ancestors  who were resident in St.Thomas Parish. Bristol. The family name morphes through the years from Willcockes, Wilcox and now Whitlock The earliest proven Marriage is 1525 at St.James' Priory(which still exists). The family still lives in Bristol , where we have been for over 650 years.   AW

Hi Butch

I noticed that since posting this question, you have added both the "Quaker Project" and "William Penn and Early Pennsylvania Settlers Project" project boxes to this profile.

I would suggest a discussion with the (very active) profile manager about her views about having this profile incorporated into either (but not both) of these projects if you have not already done so. And also discussing with the project leaders to see if they were interested in taking this profile into the chosen project.
