Deep Concern about this profile.

Good afternoon

I have some deep concern about this profile and am seeking advice as I am wanting to start to develop the Mauduits more thoroughly.

When you see the husbands, you will note the problem:  three perhaps concurrent ones: two in America and one in England

Here is the Boyd reference also for your convenience
My relationship to this family is through Ann Mauduit-Garvey, Baroness Pfeilitzer my fourth great grandmother.

Her Garvey side were long time Caribbean Irish believed to be descendants of John Garvey, the Archbishop of Armaugh (still working on this) and were at Trinity Palmetto St Kitts and other Caribbean locations for quite a long time.

Her Mauduits were a very early Huguenot family that were originally Maudit in France - of course an expletive imposed on them because of their non-conformance.  They escaped via Portugal to Exeter, were prolific ministers and local politicians and moved into the cloth business at about the time that uncle Jasper was appointed to as colonial agent to Maryland and uncle Israel  I believe to Newfoundland.  This is their brother William and his wife Mercy Jackson Mauduit (later Chew)  who were my ancestors, their daughter Anna going to St. Kitts and their son William returned to England to manage operations there. In several Burke’s reference he becomes inseparable from reference to William Mauduit and his neice, Baroness Pfeilitzer after she and George came back from his military service in St Kitts in 1797 after they married.  She died 1806.

Here is a further connection back to the boy's parents Isaac Maduit and Elizabeth Berryman and I will ponder through the rest as I get these pieces together saved deep on my 7 Terrabyte hardrive

So the issue here - and I have posted one document on the profile as a placeholder  that is a biographical note on the prolific son Piers of Rev John Mauduit and this Eleanor Robinson (base on her parentage) which was fairly contemporaneous ...and given his position and exposure very likely to be as written (also agrees with Boyd and other sources).

There is no British reference that I can that she ever left England and I believe her husband preached her funeral

I have tried to connect with the profile owner to see his viewpoint but have nothing.

Any suggestions.  I really didn’t want to disconnect and bypass

Thank you for this post.  I come to this profile from a different tangent as I am a Ball family descendant.  I can find NO sources that state that John Ball, b: ca. 1640 in Devonshire, England, a scion of the landed gentry Ball family of SW England and Ulster, Ireland, ever had a wife named Eleanor Maudit.  He married Mary Nehemid in Co. Devon at around 25 years old and they moved to Co. Tyrone, Ulster, Ireland, shortly thereafter.   I am therefore detaching John Ball as a husband for Eleanor.  It was John Ball and his family that emigrated to Talbot Co., Province of Maryland in April 1786.
