There has been much controversy about who the father was of the 3 Lewis Quaker Brothers, Ralph, David and William Lewis, who first came to Chester County in the 1680s. For those who have William or any of the Lewis brothers in their Family Tree, William is my 7th Great Grandfather and, while doing my tree, I came across the following information about the true father of his more famous brother Ralph. It states that their father was Lewis William. It further says that, while Lewis William may have married a Mary, there's proof that the Lewis Brothers' mother was either Jane or Ann Evans, of Richard ap Evan.
You can read this yourself in article 25. the true father of Ralph Lewis and the follow up article 29. Gateway Ancestors to Royalty. They are also related to King Henry III and King Peter the Cruel, as well as link to Henry VIII, John Bevans (John ab Evans), and William Penn, as best I can remember through great grandchildren.
If anyone can shoot holes in this, I would like to know. I'm using this in my tree and assuming the David B. Boles genealogy organization is as reputable as it seems to be, having been in business since 1986. But, I am new to genealogy.
