Looking For parents of John Haynes

Hi, I can trace my family back to John Haynes i have church records showing he was married to Mary Curtis in 1739 in Fairfield County, North Stratford, Connecticut what is now Trumbull Connecticut. but cant find his parents  they would be from either New England,New York or possibly England with any certainty any help would be appreciated .

Thanks ill look into that i think that John leads me to Gov. John Haynes the first Gov. of Connecticut and Massachusetts. I just want to get it correct.

Hi Jason,

My mother was a Haines. I’m sure you are a relation to Richard Haines (Haines-3434) who died on the Amity.  From there you can go down the line looking for John Haynes. But there are MANY with that last name. But if you can narrow it down by date you may have some luck. Here’s the link to a good website for ancestors or Richard Haines, there’s also a book called the Decedents of Richard haines out there that’s good with decedents that may help.
