I am so sorry my phone will auto correct.  I am looking for the parents of Thaddeus Russell born 1759 possibly New Jersey. He served in the Revolutionary War.   Would there possibly be records of his parents?

It looks like his year of birth is derived from his pension application when he gave his age as 75 on 5 Feb 1834. I saw no immediate information on his place of birth nor parents but his first (of three) wives Elizabeth Squier was the dau of Elijah Squier, Springfield Twp, Essex County, NJ. I also see a reference to Newark in the context of being "of Newark and Springfield Twp."

Yes the pension application in 1835 was from this third wife Betsy Parker. They lived in Tyre NY at that time. I found his pay and service records in New Jersey.  What I have found states parents unknown.  That is however of the pension for Betsy his 3rd wife and I believe was filled out by their son.

Would there be records of his birth place attached to the revolutionary war records?
