What Kries was Chodecz in

I need some help with Prussia/Poland geography.

I have found some records for marriages of some of my ancestors in the Lutheran/Protestant parish of Chodecz around 1860 to 1880.

I have figured out that the current name of the location is Chodecz , Wloclawek, Poland.

The only spelling I've found anywhere for Chodecz is that spelling.  I've found references to the parish in that time period and learned the parish was first formed around 1800.

I've found it on the current maps, but I can't figure out which side of the border of Posen it was on.  I think it might possibly have been in the province of Brandenburg.

Chodecz lies 144 km East of Poznań. As discussed below, I don't think Chodecz was in Prussia after 1815, but a part of the Russian Empire until 1918.

In the 1860s Chodecz was called Chodetsch. During Nazi Germany, the town was called Godetz, so that is a way to discern the times.

Chodetsch was part of the administrative department of Lesslau, this was part of Posen and that of Prussia.

Nowadays the towns are Chodecz, Wloclawek (Lesslau) and Poznan.

Thank you.  This is the information I needed.
Hi Jelena, I agree with Skye below. I think Chodecz was only a part of Prussia briefly after the second partition of Poland in 1793.
Chodecz lies East of Konin, and became a part of Congress Poland (the Kingdom of Poland) in the Russian Empire after the Congress of Vienna finished in June 1815.

Re: Chodecz, I have worked with them. I have family from there too.

Present day Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship was slivered into various parts: Prussia and also Congress Poland/Russian Empire.  I looked for the village via Kartenmeister (Prussian village finder) and could not find it, therefore it is situated in Congress Poland.  When comparing the above map to the general map on Wikipedia, it may have been in Kalisz Voivodeship.  Once I get to this region, I'll take a look closer.  For now I've placed this profile in the correct powiat..

If the village spelling is not correct, the first other village that came to mind is Chodziez situated in Greater Poland/Wielkopolskie Voivodeship ... which WAS indeed in Prussia (and named Kolmar prior to WWI).  Double check what you can and let me know. :)

Skye, I agree. I think that up till 1918 Chodezc was in the Congress Poland. It sits very near the South-East corner of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of present day Poland. I can't really tell whether it was in the Kalisz or Warsawa Voivodeship around 1860.
