Duplicate place names in Derbyshire

I've just blitzed the Derbyshire place categories to add Category Information Boxes (if any proofreaders want to check for errors, please feel free!). In doing so, it occurs to me that four place names (to my knowledge: there may be others) are duplicated in the county. Viz:

Blackwell: a village and civil parish in both Bolsover and Derbyshire Dales districts;

Biggin: a village near Hartington, and a civil parish near Hulland;

Osmaston: a village and civil parish near Ashbourne, and an inner city suburb of Derby;

Thurvaston: a hamlet in Osleston and Thurvaston parish, and a hamlet in Marston Montgomery parish.

I'm inclined to add qualifiers in brackets to the category names, e.g., "Blackwell (near Alfreton), Derbyshire", etc., to prevent profiles being added to the wrong category. Any comments/objections?

Sounds sensible to me. I ran into a similar situation in Victoria, Australia yesterday where the town of Bendigo was once known as Sandhurst. There's also a Melbourne suburb of the same name

So I had to use Sandhurst (Bendigo) to be clear.

Re:Blackwell. Are there two places, one being a village and one a parish? If so, what is usually done is Category:Blackwell (village), Derbyshire and Category:Blackwell (parish), Derbyshire.

No, there are two different Blackwells, both villages and civil parishes. WikiData has confused them (and Vision of Britain has conflated the two Biggins).
I propose:

Blackwell (near Alfreton), Derbyshire

Blackwell (near Bakewell), Derbyshire

Biggin (Hartington Nether Quarter), Derbyshire

Biggin (near Hulland), Derbyshire

Osmaston (near Ashbourne), Derbyshire

Osmaston (Derby), Derbyshire

Thurvaston (Marston Montgomery), Derbyshire

Thurvaston (Osleston & Thurvaston), Derbyshire

I.e., parish name in brackets for the ones that aren't parishes in their own right.
The place name suggestions include "Blackwell (near Tideswell), Derbyshire", which I think is what you are proposing to call "Blackwell (near Bakewell), Derbyshire", so that might get a bit confusing.

They also include "Osmaston by Ashbourne, Derbyshire", which is clearly what you are proposing to call "Osmaston (near Ashbourne), Derbyshire", but I don't know if there may be any merit to using a consistent name.
Thanks Paul. That's very helpful. I will use "Near Tideswell" for consistency. Not sure about "Osmaston by Ashbourne": it makes it sound like an official name (we have Middleton by Wirksworth, Middleton by Youlgreave, Stanton by Dale, for example); perhaps "Osmaston (by Ashbourne)" would be better.

I think consistency is important, along with clarity and simplicity.

Yes, I've used the '(near [xyz])' approach for duplicate place names in Wiltshire.

If it helps, Denmark uses the (near xyz) approach too and has a lot of duplicate parishes and place names.
