I am looking for any information regarding Anna Marie French married to Capt. Sir Thomas Ross in Dublin 1835.  My information is limited as I am not even sure if these are the pair I'm looking for.  My several greats ago was a Matilda Ross (Rankin) who was from Roscommon, Ireland.  She married Samuel Clements Rankin in Kings, Co., Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1855.  He was from Bermuda and that is where they lived.  The name Ross has been carried through our family since then as it was apparently important for us to remember..sadly, nobody can remember why :)

There is an Anna Maria French and Thomas Ross who filed for a marriage license in Dublin, Ireland in 1835. I don't know if that's the one. Unfortunately, the rumor is that only the index of this volume survived, and that the actual records were destroyed at some point. So there is no additional information provided from this source.

Source:
Dublin, Ireland, Probate Record and Marriage Licence Index, 1270-1858

There are a couple of people who have mentioned online that they believe that this is accurate [below], but there is no visible documentation:

Name:  Anna French
Parents:  George French, Anne Jones
Spouse:  Sir Thomas Ross

Thanks for your replies everyone.  Is there any way I can find the names of their children?  I have a reference to a daughter Ann but I know from a source that they had several children.  Thanks again.

Sir Thomas Ross married Anna Maria French in 1835 (as above) and held land in County Roscommon but no child named Matilda was born of the union. Anna Maria died in 1851.  They had three sons and five daughters, including a boy who died in infancy and a girl who died aged eleven years.
