My only brick wall at the moment is in my direct mother's line which is of course very important since it ties directly to my mtDNA. I have hit a brick wall in my mother's line at Johanna Margaretha Wessels. My research thus far can be seen on her profile.
DNA evidence points to her being a descendant of Jacoba Brandenburg who came to Cape Town from the Netherlands. I need more mtDNA evidence from descendants of Jacoba Brandenburg with a paper trail to her to confirm that Johanna indeed is a descendant of Jacoba.
