Patrick Carrigan suddenly materializes in Castleton, Rutland, Vermont in 1832 or not long after. His 4 May 1888 death certificate gives his parents names as Frank Carrigan and Rose Lyon; a daughter's death certificate claims he is from Donegal (Donegal town? county Donegal?). See Carrigan-483 for more details. I recently came upon Carrigan-481 who may be a brother. Note: Carrigan is the modern version of O'Corrigan thus Corrigan and Carrigan are interchangeble. Also there are a large number of spelling varients.
