Trying to trace the origins of Patrick Michael Stanton who left Galway for Bombay, India approx. 1820/ 30's.

According to records in the British Library, Patrick Michael Stanton signed an indenture with the East India Co. as an apprentice, July 1848. He went on to serve with the EIC and later the Indian Navy until his death in Bombay, India on 5 January 1866.

Patrick Michael married Rose Domingo Gonsalves, of Spanish descent in the Catholic Cathedral in Bombay, India.

I would like to find out from where in Galway Patrick Michael came from and if he had any siblings, and if possible who his parents were.

Thank you,

Malcolm Stanton
