Hugh Harry / Hugh Harris - whether LNAB was Harry or Harris, how is it that his father's LNAB is Owen?

I know that children don't always carry the same last name as their father - the father, Harry Thomas Thomas Owen - and Hugh were born in Wales (1630 & 1662 - although another profile had Huge b 1668 in England). The grandfather is Thomas Owen.  So... would the father's name have been Harry ap Thomas & then Hugh's Hugh ap Harry ?  Is that how we got Hugh Harry as son of Harry Owen?

Also, any ideas on how Hugh Harry morphed to Hugh Harris? (just had a Harris profile merged into Hugh Harry)

Thanks! Liz

For sure he's not the son of Elizabeth Brinton-195.  For one thing, she's only three years older than he is.  For another, she is a duplicate of his wife. Would you kindly detach her?  He's PPP.

It looks like his mother was Elizabeth Unknown & got merged into a duplicate profile for his wife. I removed her as mom & added some info about her to the son's profile. Cheers, Liz
Thank you, Liz. There is yet another duplicate mother out there, but with LNAB unknown.  Would you kindly add Unknown-196394 as mother of Harry-39?  I can't edit the relationship fields.
