Marion does it sat where in what we call Germany today he came from?

In order to really research in Germany we need to know  which Dutchy or Administrative district to look for records in.
This is the complete record as it was on Findmypast.
Thank you for the information. I am looking to find where he might have lived in Germany and other potential family members, as my "line" of my maiden name ends with him. There could have been a change in last name, and he could have immigrated through Canada (considering the proximity to Niagara Falls, NY). This whole side of my family seems to have worked in the chemical industry in one way or another. Thank you for your help!

He was a drum maker of medium height and build with grey eyes and hair in 1918.

"United States World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K6JJ-5D6 : 13 March 2018), Charles August Rader, 1917-1918; citing Niagara Falls City, New York, United States, NARA microfilm publication M1509 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.); FHL microfilm 1,818,599.

He is possibly the Carl Rader baptized 20 Nov 1874 in the Evangelische Kirche in Solingen, Rheinland (Rhein Pfalz), Prussia.  Son of Louis Rader and Ida Kohl.  It seems a little late for baptism, which traditionally is the first stop outside the home after birth.  Update:  This isn't your relative; this Carl was born in August per another record.

Well done, Kathy!
Thank you for your information. I have been trying to find out more about his immigration in 1881. I am unsure of where it took place or if there was a name change during the process. My maiden name "line" ends with him, and I am trying to find more information about where he was from and other potential family members.

There were two ports where German emigrants departed from, Hamburg and Bremen, so if you can find passenger lists for those ports in 1881, you may have some luck.

A few links for Hamburg are:
