Yes was very lucky to find that picture. I actually found pictures of several of my ancestors that I had never seen pics off. I found them in a old family album belonging to my late Grandmother. My grandfather her husband can not read or write but he knew the people in the photos like he had seen them yesterday. Before I could read the names written on back if pic he would tell me who they were and he was always right .As far as knowing anything about Gertie I don't. I know her parents and husband and children but as far as anything in her life I don't. I found another pic of her when she was young with her whole family (not sure which one she is) and they were all dressed up in higher class clothing so she may have belonged to a better off family then most of my ancestors. Finding out who your ancestors relatives are is exciting but to find a picture of them makes you feel so much closer to them .
