12444 How do I delete this profile? I have an NPE for my grandfather & just learned that this was nt his father

Mary Beth, if he is a person that really did exist then we don't want to delete the profile.  All you have to do is restore the information that was there before you anonymized him and disconnect him as the parent of your grandfather.  You can then put an explanation of why he's not your grandfather in a Research Notes section and feel free to orphan the profile if you wish.  Someday, someone will come along and say "WOW - my family member is here - isn't this wonderful?" and they'll adopt him and build out his real biological family.

There is another John bishop born abt 1847 in Pennsylvania.  Maybe they are the same person.  

I restored it back so the names, dates, and biography are the way they were before you cleared all of it.  You can remove the child, if you wish
