Thank you, Melanie! I'm very glad if any of my work -- or that of others who've contributed to the profiles of Thomas Jones and his offspring & his Guilford associates -- has been helpful. I'm very interested in any connections between Guilford folk and Virginia, since, as noted on Thomas's profile, there's an open question about whether the line of Thomas's alleged parents -- John & Anna (Vassal) Jones -- actually connects to Connecticut (pun not intended), or (or perhaps, "and"?) connects to Virginia.
FYI -- and for others interested in the Joneses of Connecticut and western Massachusetts -- our family recently discovered a sheaf of some 250 paper forms, filled out by my grandfather Henry Champion Jones in the 1890s, each one giving the core data for a different member of the extended family... starting with Thomas's son, Samuel. These will eventually all be digitized and, thanks to another WikiTreer who volunteered his assistance, will be made publicly available. It may take a while, though, before that happens -- the old forms are faded, and I need to copy every one with the print darkened to full legibility before they can be successfully scanned!
