My grandfather attended Trinity College School in Port Hope, Ontario. In 1906 he took this photo of three of his classmates having tea in their dorm room.

Fabulous photo Laurie, I love the robes and the biscuit container.
Thanks, Alexis. I didn't notice that the box was a biscuit tin. I bet these young men would have been in awe of your grandmother and her friends!
Bet the girls would like them. They are good looking, and they would be the same age.

The little girl on the right side of the photo is my mother, Milagros Gila Hernández. The other girl is her best friend. Her mum and my grandmother met when they both where pregnants and became friends. So did their little girls and, they're still: they where neighbours, classmates, and she is my sister's godmother.

The photo was taken in 1952 and the little boy is my mum's cousin.

This is my cousin and friend Sue. We met when I contacted her as a result of my genealogy research. We became quick friends. Unfortnately, we did not get to spend much time together due to a sudden illness a year after we met.

Sisters and best friends, Isabel and her younger sister Helen. They spent their whole lives together, living in the same home with their parents. When they entered a retirement home, they chose rooms across the hall from each other, so they never had to be apart.

Wonderful story Alex with friends like that

Here is my mother on a motorcycle, a conveyance I can't imagine her ever being on! She's with two fellows who must have been friends with her at the time, but whose names I've never heard her mention. I tried looking them up, but I don't find records for them: George Le Pouef and Walter Gibson. I post this in case there are relatives of her friends who are looking for them.

It appears she was spending her usual summer vacation at St. Andrews-By-The-Sea, New Brunswick, Canada. Her father worked as a private chauffeur for a family that had a summer home in St. Andrews. So the whole family enjoyed the cool breezes there.

This is me with my service dog, Greta, ten years ago. She was only three years old then, and very well trained. I trained her myself, from my wheelchair. She was adopted at 5 weeks old from the Houston SPCA, and became my best friend and helped me every day - she could pick ANYTHING off the floor, find my cell phone, carry things for me, and never left my side. She died, suddenly, last May. Exactly one week later, I fell transferring in my wheelchair - trying to reach for my cell phone that Greta always carried for me - and shattered my left femur, the paralyzed side of my body.

This is me with my Aunt Kim, We were 23 months apart and we were always together growing up. So much so that people would get us confused and call each other the others name.
