Find of the day:

1) One man arrived in Pennsylvania on the ship Adventure in 1732 and traveled to and settled in what became North Carolina.

2) Another arrived in Pennsylvania on the ship Adventure in 1732 and traveled to Virginia, one line of descendants eventually settling in Kentucky.

Their names are one above the other on the list of passengers.

Two descendants, one from each, marry approximately 260 years later. Me and my wife.

Whoah! That must have been an amazing moment when you discovered those two names on the same ship!
It sure was, Jillaine! And I wasn’t looking for it either. Just reading someone else’s research after a merge and saw that they had included the above name (my ancestor) and a name below. Bingo. I went back looking at the research on my ancestor, and there it was. Same ship, same date.
That is really amazing.
So happy for you Pip! That is the sort of moment you can't even dare to dream of! Fantastic!!
Wow. Just wow.
That is just wonderful
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this!
That is amazing. What a great find.

Pip,  "the above name (my ancestor) and a name below. Bingo."

Did Bingo have the same LNAB as you?  wink

laughlaughlaugh Above: Killian. Below: Glantz (which became Claunch).

You so funny, Jo!

Fun with punctuation.

You guys all dried out?
Mostly. Texas sent us their storm his week and the creek got up again but didn’t overflow this time. Still lots of damage to fix up. Thanks for asking!

WOW Pip!

Just goes to prove what a small world this is.

If I was you I would create a Profile for the Captain of the Adventure.  If it hadn't been for his seamanship in those dangerous days of sailing, I wouldn't be writing this right now.  ;)

Yep, to take a quote from Steve Wright the comedian: "It’s a small world, but I wouldn’t want to have to paint it."

Now that’s an idea! The ship captain. His name is there, too! I’ve got to put that on the to do list. Great suggestion, LJ. yes
