Do you have Jasper John Boswell's "History and genealogical tables of the Boswells" published1906?

This work appears in the Family History Libraray Catalog and WorldCat, but I did not find a version available online.

Did locate an extensive work online as "Boswell Collection GEN MSS 89" via Yale University Library. The Yale material includes a series of "genealogical charts" referencing, in part, the work of the same author.

Link follws. Description includes, "drawn from a variety of published and unpublished sources, including the Dictionary of National Biography, several volumes of the Yale Edition of the Private Papers of James Boswell, and Jasper John Boswell's History and Genealogical Tables of the Boswells (Vol 1, privately printed, 1906; Vol 2, unpublished manuscript photocopy in the files of the Boswell Editorial Project). When information obtained from the papers in the Boswell Collection contradicted the published sources, the primary source was preferred."

Thanks for this answer. The fact that the Second Vol only exists as a manuscript explains why my father only obtained the first Vol. Clearly bound copies of Vol 1 do exist, although my copy is unbound. I have scanned it to pdf, and I am willing to share it with any interested searchers. It has extensive informatin of the Warren and Lundin fmilies, as well as the Boswells.

Yes, I have Vol 1 as a pdf file, but it is 126MB so I can't email it. If you email me I can send you a link to a dropbox folder that contains this volume. Although it is very interesting it only covers the period up to about 1600, because the author unfortunately died before he could publish Vol 2, which only exists as a manuscript. The original is held by the Fondazione Sella in Biella Italy, with a copy being held in the Beinecke Rare Book collection at Yale University Library. The manuscript is in Italy because J J Boswell's daughter married a Sella.

Alan, could I have a drop box link as well?  I have hit a brick wall that I fear can never be crossed and Vol one ends just about the time I need it here. I can trace my Boswell's back to about 1665 in America. That is it. I sure wonder what vol 2 has in it.  The only thing I think but can't prove is that all the Boswell's I have traced in America  prior to 1665 are not the right family. .My Dad died before computers but he did a pretty fair job. He said he thought we came from France to England with William. He was probably right. I don't think I can talk my male cousins into a DNA test and none of the participants seem to fit.Still I think my dad would be   impressed. He would be 100 years old if he were alive. My g.grandmother was Janet Boswell b. Edinburgh. She married John McConnell. I obtained a copy of J..j Boswell's book several years ago and photocopied it. My Boswell were from Scoonie and Kirkcaldy Fifeshire and distantly related to Auchinleck Boswell s. Wait to hear from you.

I am so glad I found this online! I have been able to trace the Boswells in my family tree using MyHeritage and FamilySearch back to my 8th Great Grandfather John Boswell (1632-1687) who was from Scotland and married to Isebel/Isabel Chapman. I found that their son and my 7th Great Grandfather John Boswell (1664-1687) was born in England and came to Maryland in 1683. He was married to Marie Tessa Feillafe (1661-1691). Some of these birth and death dates have variations, so I do not think all of them  are exact. I have been trying to take the tree further back than the 1632 John Boswell, but have found so many inconsistencies. On FamilySearch.org you can actually submit a name and click on the "View My Relationship", and it will show you if you are related to that person or not. I have found Boswells on my father's father's side (Cofer) as well as cousins on my mother's mother's side (Williamson, etc) I am from Georgia and a decendant of Matthew Cofer/Coffer (1742-1796) who was married to Elizabeth Boswell (1770-1850) which is where my connection to the Boswells begins.
