What are symbols on index page

Question

Just looking for the first time, but can't figure out all of the symbols does and color on your index page. Looked in help but could not find thd answer.

Sorry, but I cannot tell what exactly what you mean by symbols and colors on the Index page - either.  There aren't any colors on the Help Index?  So that can't be it.

Maybe if you could find that page again, and copy the URL from the specific page and put it in these comments someone could better assist you.

Its not the help index. Here is an example:

On the left of each entry are little circles that can have many different colors inside. After that there are entries that may or may not be highlighted and some are clickable. Where is there a legend for thise items.

The colors of the buttons/circles indicates privacy levels.  Ancestors over 200 yrs are open to everyone, whereas RED indicates living persons and only the profile manager and the trusted list can see the details.  Other colors indicate differences in what the public can view. 

Key:
The colored dots are the Privacy Level: Unlisted , Private , Private with Public Biography , Private with Public Bio and Tree , Public , or Open .

I did note that some that are white, are not clickable from that page, however if you type them in the Surname box, you do get to the page for that person, such as

GADDAH (1 - Frances Gaddah) is not clickable but when you type Gaddah in the surname search you get:  Frances Gaddah 1718 Bedford, Virginia, United States

So someone else will have to explain that.
