I'm not seeing any conflict.  The bio only mentions those children who were still living at the time of his death, making no mention of any who had predeceased him.

I have hit a wall with Marcus Freeman's first wife Elizabeth Logan Freeman with very little information to go by.  They did have several children that I will have to research to find out about their history.

Elizabeth Logan could possibly have been a Mohawk Indian and therefore no information would or could be found on her birth or her parents.  There are a lot of Mohawk Indians with the last name Logan making it difficult to trace her birth family.
