Hans Albert Hansen was born about 1872 at Olso, Norway. He died in Auckland, New Zealand on March 18 1919. He married Ada Baker in Auckland and they had 4 children.  They later divorced. Hans was a captain on a schooner that sailed up the Wade river to Puhio, North Auckland bringing supplies to people living in the area.

I found one Hans Emil Albert Hansen was born on 31 December 1869 and christened on 3 April 1870 in Trefoldighet Menighet, Oslo, Akershus, Norway, the son of Carl Hansen and Emma Kristine Mathiesen.

There were several passenger lists for New Zealand immigration by people with the name, however none of the ages recorded in said lists added up to being Hans.
