Help with a translation

Question

Under "Parents" it says: Kateřzina Nowakowa, said the father is dead and buried at St. Castulus church in Prague, Wenceslaus Nowak.

Thank you for your help.   I was unable to tell in Vaclav was the father or grandfather of Frantisek.

I did quickly scan the burial entries at sv. Haštala for the 9 months prior to František's birth and did not find any entry for a Wenceslaus/Waclaw Nowak, or any Nowak for that matter. Could have missed something, though.

For Wenceslaus to be the father of Kateřyina I would have liked to see any indication of that in the "Parents" column. So I guess I would be inclined to believe hat Wenceslaus was the father.

I tried looking at the records too, but was unable to make any heads or tales of them.  I have found that with a deceased father a baptism is sometimes delayed.  Not sure why that would happen, but I have seen it.

I found what appears to be an index of deaths but there are no entries f02 1722 or 1723.

I did find a Katerina bp.1704 in Krenovice with parents of Vaclav and Ludmilla.  However, based on your translation I, too, would believe he is a father of Frantisek, not of Katerina.  The record seems quite pecific on where he buried.  I am surprised you weren't able to find him easily.
