Pearl Lee Watie's Find-a-grave site http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=5950060
shows Tom Watie as his father.I can't find anything definite on Tom Watie. One source says a Cherokee named Tom Watie was murdered by a rival Indian Tribe. Another shows a Tom Watie rleased from jail. Still another hionts that a Tom Watie was a brother of General Stand Watie.
I need Pearl Lee's line of descent.
His WWI draft record gives his birth date and location so you might want to contact the County Clerk to see if there is a birth record.

There is also a Walter Watie b. 1880 in OK, who is listed as ‘Negro’ on his WWI Draft Registration, wife’s name happens to be Pearl and father listed as Tom Watie on Walters Death Cert. He also has applications to the five tribes. Might be a brother of your ancestor?
