My most distant mtDNA ancestress was named Elizabeth Klein, from Alsace/Lorraine, who immigrated to Ohio.  I tested through FTDNA and Ancestry and have uploaded to GEDmatch.

On the right side of the following report are the Klein descendants who have DNA tested:  https://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:DNATests&s=Klein

The third column tells you which sites (testing labs).  Clicking on an auDNA  tester would tell you if they have a GEDmatch ID.  I recommend you e-mail those not in GEDmatch to upload to genesis.gedmatch.com

My mother was a Klein. There are several on my Family Tree. My DNA test was with Ancestry, but I have uploaded to GEDMATCH, FamilyTreeDNA and MyHeritage. My great great grandparents were Aaron and Necha Klein. My great grandparents were Abraham and Blima (Gottesman) Klein and my grandparents were Max and Sophie (Fragner) Klein.

My grandfather came to NYC in 1904 and settled in the Bronx as a butcher.

Dave, the name Klein occurs in a very few places as I go back and sideways trying to flesh out my ancestors.  I ran my gedmatch against yours and found that we are 5.1 generations to MRCA.  Although that's not very close and I feel like I have matches to the entire world there, would you like to work with me to try to figure out if we really are related?
Yes of course. If you are on Ancestry, you can look for my Family Tree. It is public and my member name is Daveydave15.

My 2nd great grandmother was Ottilie Klein, born 25 Oct 1828, Lambertsmuehle, Burscheid, Germany.Klein-5092. I found some distant cousins via my Nacestry DNA test results in the US.

My husbands cousin did extensive work on John Pancratius Klein that came over from Mainz-Hechtsheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany in 1857 at age 23 and was Naturalized in 1863.  I have a book, have not yet entered anyone into Wikitree or checked to see if they are already here, but my daughter did her DNA at Ancestry and it hooked right up with the researchers mother
