This is a tough one without more details.  Here is a list of possible Norfolk County, Massachusetts Census records for your George:  US and Massachusetts Census Records  I think that the George H Adams, son of Ebenezer in Quincy might be your guy because Quincy is right next door to Braintree which is south of Quincy.

And I wonder if this is your George Adam

The New Zealand passengers lists might help if you know when he moved there.  Good luck!

I ran a search for "George Adams" died between 01/01/1905 & 31/12/1907 and only 2 infants came up.

 

I tried "George ADAM" and found a death registered in 1906 aged 71.  You are able to order a copy of the certificate also.
