I can't find any possible parents for him.

The data fields say he was Born in London.  The narrative says he was born in Flushing NY.  There are no sources for anything.

Sorry Howard.  Your question was about Gibbs of London but the linked profile was someone who could as easily been of Flushing NY as of London.

Which leads me to this point. People on Wikitree can tell you that this is wrong or that is wrong, but won't help you find the correct answer. They think you are supposed to figure it out when they are the one telling you it is wrong.

Howard, Thank you for clarifying what you're seeking.  That's what I was trying to understand.  You might want to edit your question to  "Who is researching the family of Richard Gibbs?" [who may or may not have been of London] or [better:] "Who were the parents of Richard Gibbs?"

A review of the Changes tab suggests that Gregory Rose, a current WT contributor, might be researching the family of Richard Gibbs.

Howard, I don’t see anyone telling you you’re wrong. The profile is unsourced. A source doesn’t have to be the parents per se. It could be death record, census, marriage etc. if you can’t find any, so be it, but the unsourced banner will remain for others to see. You might like to add ==Research Notes == and put down where you have looked, any possible records that you have not been able to confirm, thus saving others from having to do the same thing.
