I will make mistakes as I add to my tree, so how do I delete an incomplete profile? [closed]

Hello all.  I'm new and started to add family but need to delete an incomplete profile because of no sources.  And I can not find a way to delete a profile.  I have no doubt that I will make mistakes as I add people, like inadvertently wrongly connecting two individuals.  So I need to know how to delete a profile.  I don't do this often, but it has happened.
And to what extent is what we know considered to be an acceptable citation?  I mean I know the vital statistics of my parents and grandparents, and I do not have documents (birth certificates etc.) to cite.  Is "Family Bible" enough of a source?  Is "Mother's Birthday Book", "Great Grandma's age papers" or "I know this because he is my father"?

Welcome, Mary!  You cannot delete a profile.  You can replace the info with that of someone else with the same last name.  Or, post a link to it here, and we'll help you find some sources.

For immediate family, all of the thing you mention are valid sources.  Images of the family bible would be great backup.  And, we can help you find more.

Thank you, Herbert Tardy.
You're welcome!  Thank you for the star!

I thought recycling WikiTree IDs is usually frowned upon:

It is frowned upon, but if you just made the profile it doesn't have any history or 'personally identifiable information.'  It's an option in Mary's situation.

If the issue is just that the profile represents a real person, but lacks information or sources, I think a better option is to hunt up the missing pieces.
