Billingsley search.

Once I have all of my potential matches assessed and my GEDCOM imported for my own tree I shall be starting a project to find the father of my intended (the very reason my interest in genealogy was renewed). I don't have much to go on but here it is in case any of it flags anybody's attention. :)

Father's name = Thompson Billingsley.

Believed to be about 63 if still living. Was born in the USA, had a child with an English lady, surname of Carmichael whilst he was based in Germany with the US Army but went back to the USA in 68 or 69. He is black but believed to be part Native American / First People.

Mother or grandmother's name believed to be Lilly May.

Believed to be US Army's boxing champion in 1968.

Child's name (at birth) = Thomas Silabon Billingsley, born May 11th, 1968.

I would greatly appreciate any leads.

thank you very much.

The first match seems unlikely as he was born here in the US.  The second has potential, though.

But even better, you lead me to a site I did not know about which does, indeed. have quite the list of Billinglseys.

Very much appreciated.
