RootsSearch within WikiTree: Can we replace "findmypast.co.uk search facility has been discontinued"

While using RootsSearch within WikiTree, can we replace "findmypast.co.uk search facility has been discontinued" with free service - RootsWeb's WorldConnect [https://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=Search&includedb=&lang=en&ti=&surname=&stype=Exact&given=&bplace=&byear=&brange=0&dplace=&dyear=&drange=0&mplace=&myear=&mrange=0&father=&mother=&spouse=&skipdb=&period=All&submit.x=Search]

FindMyPast has many original records on birth, marriage, death, etc. Many people have a membership as I suspect people in England, Australia, and New Zealand do.  Ancestry and MyHeriage and Fold3 are also fee based and are choices through WikiTree's Roots Search.

You might suggest adding a site that is free but I do not think that taking away a site that is useful to many people is a good idea.

Does findmypast.co.uk link in rootssearch work for you? I get the message that it has been discontinued.

I could not find a way to change the links myself.

It is definitely broken in the Rootssearch tool. Something has changed at FindmyPast but the tool here hasn't been updated.

I was actually able to reach findmypast.co.uk after I stripped the extra text added by RootsSearch tool. So this link from the tool just needs to be fixed.

The help document for RootsSearch indicate you can 'select other sites' from the additional sites listOK  to include with-in the 6 sites you can use to search. I do not see instructions on how this is achieved.

Please advise.

There is a link at the bottom of RootsSearch that says "More sites" that will let you choose additional sites to search.

And did the page allow you to change the 6 active sites available to search? There is no button to accept any change. Also, the site I want to add is not in the list.

It looks like it saves when you click the enable/disable button. But it doesn't look like you can add custom sites.

I tagged the post with "rootssearch" yesterday so the developer will probably see this post soon.
