Hi Pat, What normally works for me is "wildcards: eg. Doust would only find Doust.
Now Do*st would find Doust, Doost, Dowst, Dost.
Dous* would find Doust Douse, Dousted, etc.
Hope this helps
If I enter Rabenstein, I'll get Robenstein, Rabenstine, etc. But that may be because I always add alternative spellings in Other Last Names. I haven't checked if it shows up if I don't.
Update: I just did a search for Hedges. In the upper right corner was a result showing: About 1624 HEDGESs. Related surnames: HODGES (7894) HODGE (4648) HOGG(2740) EDGE (1215) HECK (1107) HECKMAN (711) HEDGER (480) HOCK (416) HEDGE (423) HECKER (368) HODGETTS (217) HECKMANN (145) HEGGS (115) HEGGE (56) HENGES (28).
So, I guess you could click through those; sort by birth or first name, and see if you find it that way.
Thank you for the Star Kathy
