why does most charts Not show Edwin D. Lake as son of Katherine Van Tassell born 1803 and John Lake born 1799?

Frank Herbert Lake (1867) was born of Edwin D. Lake and Adella Anna Hoover.  Edwin Lake was born of John Lake (1779) and Katherine Van Tassell (1803), John Lake was born of John Lake (1770) and Sarah Works (1772), John Lake was born of John Lake (1724) and Abigail Hoyt (b ?), John Lake was born of John B. Lake (1683-8) and Abigail Kimberly (1699), John Lake was born of Thomas Lake (1662) and Sarah Peet (Peate?) (1665) , Thomas was born of John Lake (1630) and Mary Coye? (b ?) of England.

I don't have anything beyond that.

Katherin Van Tassel mentioned in the record of Edwin Lake and Clara Davis Tassel. Husband is John Lake, Son is Edwin Lake.

Edwin Lake marriage 8 Oct 1911 Colfax, Whitman, Washington with estimated birth year 1832 age 79. Spouse is Clara Davis Justy age 67, est. birth year 1844, Spouses father's name Marion Woods.

I have noted Edwin D. Lake as born 1831 in Sterling, N.Y., son of John Lake, born 1799 in Kennebec, Maine and Catherine Van Tassel born 1803 in Schaghticoke, N.Y.  Adella Anna Hoover was first married to W.F. Rogers, and then Judge Edwin D. Lake.  Adella Anna and Edwin had a child, Frank Herbert Lake (my great-grandfather).  As far as I can find out, no children were born of Edwin and Clara Davis Justy (nee Woods)!  Is this correct, anyone?
