Anyone have information on the Smith's living in Wynberg, South Africa in the early 1800s?

I have literally hits a brick wall on my gg gf born 31 Jul 1833.  He married Frances Elizabeth Long who disembarked in Cape Town since she was sea sick.  Her family continued to Western Australia but she remained in SA.  They lived in the Wynberg area.  Looking for any information on the ancestry of Hendrik and would gladly share the information on my Smith branch that I have.
