My dad is John David Jackson, born in Russellville, AL but reared in Jasper. His father was Chester Clay Jackson of Walker County, AL. He was the son of John Dave Jackson, also of Walker County who was the son of Samuel S. Jackson, Jr. who arrived in Alabama with his father Samuel S. Jackson, Sr. sometime between 1805 and 1820.

My 3rd great grandfather was born Andrew Thomas Jackson in Alabama in September 1838.  I haven't been able to figure anything more than that, but would love to figure out who his parents were.  He married Emily Smith in December 1867 in Bartow, Georgia, lived in Etowah, Alabama for a bit and ended up settling in Pearl River County, Mississippi.  He died sometime after 1900.
