Advice before adding spouse of this pre-1700 Baumgardner profile?

I can add a spouse to the profile of Heinrich Baumgardner. This is who I can add: Anna born abt. 1663 in Weiach, Zurich, Switzerland.    No maiden name given.

These are the sources I am using: Family tree researched by Harold Sherritt.

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for working to build and source our shared family tree! I'd suggest editing your original question and adding Switzerland as another tag. It appears that there is a Switzerland Project, although that project appears to be dormant at the moment.

Regardless of which project would be appropriate for coordination for the associated profiles, the source that you listed, "Family tree researched by Harold Sherritt", is not a sufficient source for creating a pre-1700 profile. See the "Cite reliable sources" section of the Pre-1700 Profiles Help Page.

If a family tree has appropriate sources associated with it, you should find and cite those sources instead to help build a profile. If there aren't appropriate sources documented in the family tree and if you are unable to find any through your own research, you may want to post in G2G (again tagging Switzerland) to request help finding appropriate sources for the associated profile(s). If you do so, provide all the information that you have on the individual(s) in the post and hopefully one or more of the many generous WikiTree volunteers that may be familiar with sources for that region will come along and be able to help.
