Database error 848

Question

On my grandfather's profile, I keep getting this database error related to the WWII template. I thought I fixed it during the Clean-a-thon, but I am not sure exactly which parameter I messed up. Can someone please look at it and tell me where I went wrong?

This is what I have in the template:

{{World War II|United States Navy|1942|USS Mobile}}

I am not sure what his service end date it is. As far as Unit goes, he was assigned to a ship, so I used that as the unit. Is there a better way to handle this?

The last edition you made might have solved the issue.

Check out the WW II template page Template:World War II

It needs the parameters in front of everything after the initial World War II part , ie branch=United States Navy, units=USS Mobile, startdate=1942

Thank you! It kept filling out the information in the sticker just fine without the branch=, etc., so I didn't realize they were required. But, I do believe you just helped me solve this problem because it also added the World War 2 Navy category to his profile when I added those!

I have the page for the Veterans stickers bookmarked, as well as some of the more common wars.  They all require the parameters now and usually the parameter names are the same.  Probably the Branch parameter did the category.  Sometimes the Unit= will set a category.  Units is free form, so multiple can be entered, but that is what shows in the sticker.  Unit does not.
