Puaha files dating back to 200 years ago?

Question

I want to know my roots more. My last name is Puaha. My Grandpa's name is Ferdinand Puaha. His father's name is Robert Puaha. That is all I know. I was told the Puaha family migrated about 1-2 centuries ago (because of trading?). I've tried to google search left and right and all I got was the former Puaha Chief.

Most of my family has neglected the Maori roots since they've settled in Indonesia. However, deep in my heart, I've always felt a bit out of place and something tells me I'm much much closer to the Maori side and I would like to learn more.

If anyone could help me out that would be AMAZING. Thank you in advance.

If you are able to take a guess on your grandfather's date of birth & death & where from that would be very helpful.

Hello my name is Mitchell Christian, my mom is Theresia Puaha. My grandfather's name is Ferdinand Puaha and my great grandfathers name is Robert Puaha. They were born in Ternate and I was born in Jakarta and they all reside in Jakarta now. I believe our roots are the same. I reside in the US now, if you want to know more contact back, I am just as curious. My grandpa Ferdinand is still alive, he is 79.
