When I went to make a comment on the suggestion page, the posting came back as unable to complete because I was the wrong wiki member?

hi Katie!  Welcome to WikiTree!

I've triggered lots of strange stuff during my learning curve, but not that particular thing!

But I've tried to do things without being logged in -- were you logged in at the time?

Can you make it happen again?

Were you on the Suggestion Report?

I think there might be a tag you could put on your question to make sure the right team sees it.  If you were on the Suggestion Report, maybe you could use the tag Data_Doctors?  Just a thought - hopefully someone else here will be able to be more specific about that!

Cheers

Shirlea

Katie,

Did you recently merge this account with another? If so, it may be that the wrong profile number is being used by the status updater. Check the ID number to make sure it matches and try again. If it's still an issue, edit your post to describe exactly what's happening and add bugs and sysops to your question tags, and switch the question to the WikiTree Tech forum.

Yeah, that will happen if 1) you erred in entering your Wiki ID ... 2) might well be something else as might 3)

In general YOUR Suggestion page is geared to YOU. Were you in someone else's Suggestions? I tested that with a randomly selected profile (unique spelling) from some totally unrelated Surname and it accepted MY Wiki ID without a problem.

So, I suppose there may be other reasons, but no, if your ID was correct, it should have accepted your Suggestion remedy
