Welcome, Michelle!  Which ancestor are you unsure about?  Can you explain a little more?

Meanwhile, Charles has two wives with the same name, who need to be merged!

Edit to add:

Walter John Coventry, mother's name Long, GRO Birth Index Vol 03A pg 355. Dec quarter 1882, Edmonton, Middlesex, England.

He might be this same person, born 1 Aug 1882 in Essex, son of Charles and Mary Ann Coventry:

"England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NFLP-QHV : 10 February 2018, Walter John Coventry, 01 Aug 1882); citing item 4 p 93, index based upon data collected by the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City; FHL microfilm 1,564,253.

In 1911 he still lived in Essex with his wife Elizabeth Paraman and daughter Violet.

"England and Wales Census, 1911," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWFL-9H2 : 21 December 2018), Walter John Coventry, Chingford, Man Chingford, Essex, England; from "1911 England and Wales census," database and images, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : n.d.); citing PRO RG 14, The National Archives of the UK, Kew, Surrey.

If these are all the same person, he died in Essex in 1939:

"England and Wales Death Registration Index 1837-2007," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVHR-XWP6 : 4 September 2014), Walter J Coventry, 1939; from "England & Wales Deaths, 1837-2006," database, findmypast (http://www.findmypast.com : 2012); citing Death, Epping, Essex, England, General Register Office, Southport, England.

No connection to Scotland or California, as far as I can tell.  I think Walter, son of Charles Coventry and Mary Long, is not your Walter.  Maybe somebody with better UK research chops can confirm or refute these connections.

Hi  I have never heard of his second wife or daughter. I am not sure if this is the same person
Michelle, it's been 2.5 months since I looked at this family, but I was careful and thorough with the research and sourcing.  The Walter and Charles Coventry and Mary Long in the profiles, plus wives and children all fit together.  They probably are not your ancestors.

I added some info and sources to the profiles of Walter Coventry and his family.  Walter's naturalization petition (link to image on his profile) gives a whack load of info, including his place of birth as Armadale, Scotland.  Names and dates of his wife and children leave no doubt it's the same Walter.

The 1891 Scotland Census shows a Coventry family in Armadale, including Walter and Murray Coventry.  Murray is important because a Murray Coventry and family appear in US records everywhere Walter and his family appear.  I think they were brothers.  Murray's mother's name was Jardine.  I think Walter's parents were Walter and Margaret (Jardine) Coventry, as shown in the 1891 Census.

Charles Coventry is probably not the correct ancestor.

Edited to add links to probable parents, correct mother's name.
