The same man is obviously described, but with two different wives and sets of parents.  Both have some documentation, some derivative, but each follows the two prevalent theories I have seen in print many times.  I believe Sarah Marshall is the one favored now, but to get to a merge will take more documentation and expertise than I have.  I believe this profile should be Project Protected, and that it is one we should be following the Great Migration Study results.  In fact, the profile with Sarah Marshall includes the information regarding Sarah Willey (the other purported name for his wife), so both lengthy bios need to be looked at and reevaluated with newer and better genealogical theory.  There will also be some children that will need to be merged or eliminated.  Thanks for your wisdom.

Sarah, the wife of James Pemberton was Sarah Wiley, daughter of Allen Wiley and Alice Mason.   Her mother Alice married Thomas Marshall after Allen died.  That is where the confusion of the spouse's LNAB comes from.

Thomas Marshall left bequests to Sarah, the wife of James Pemberton and to Frances wife of Joseph How, the ''daughters of his deceased wife Alice. ''

I will source/edit her profile.
