I'm trying to identify any and all family members.  Especially looking for any indicators of grand parents.

dont know if you already know or not, nor if it is of interesting but it is an attempt to help.. the year is 1821, 25th January, 10 a.m. appeared to us official(s) of the civil status of the community of Strassen (unsure about the t), canton of Lützumburg in the grandduchy of Lützemburg, (cannot make out the name of the person, i think it begins with H, nor the age) of this community, who to us (a lot i cannot make out) Suzanna Wagener a child (cannot make out a lot) born and of whom (cannot make out a bit) has declared to want to give the first name Johannes.

thank you for the star. i do not deserve it. the person who gave you Heinrich F... and Suzanna Wagener etc deserves it more. The print was no problem. Deciphering  handwriting is not easy. I have helped Jewish people family searching. Fascinating. I found 12 ways to spell Weiss in Hungarian records starting with Vais and ending with Wejsz if i remember rightly. And how about finding as many as 6 or more children all born outside of marriage to the same mother with the same father, who signs his name with Hungarian spelling and is spelt with German spelling in the column for his wife? And each son of those sons with their mother's surname have all their children born outside of marriage in the same way. There are some men born with their father's name in a variety of spellings who change to their wife's name in a variety of spellings and Anglicize everything when they get to America. One of them had as first name Avram at his birth was Adolf on the way to America and i am not sure what it was when he married or in the military but i think i found records for him as Abe and believe he died as Abraham. Some records are in Kurrentschrift. The Polish and German print do help to work out Kurrentschrift. Carefully written it is extremely difficult, carelessly written it is impossible even for German geologists who were taught it as children to decipher.The only comparable problematical style to it that i have seen is 17th century Scottish handwritten script (cannot remember the correct term for the style the clerks used). The handwriting i was taught at school is a variation similar to the handwriting in Victorian or Edwardardian England but double s does not look like sf. So that my greatgrandfather Edwin is recorded as Edward Reaffell and trancribed as Edward Sewppell at school in the 1841 census and his parents and siblings at home as Rippell did not surprise me since when i first started family searching he was nowhere to be found in the 1881 census till a lady discovered the family for me as Riffelle. I searched in vain for my grandfather in the 1939 register but somehow or other i did come across the Retfell family living in his house in Downton near Salisbury where my family lived. It was when my nephew was asked if he was related to the Raffell family in the Salisbury area. My first by ydna confirmed ancestor was baptized Joseph Reffield in 1789 in Dorking and is a by ydna confirmed relative of Joseph Reffel and Refell christened 1786 in nearby Shere and they are probably related to Joseph Reffell christened and unfortunately buried in 1789 in Albury not so far away in Surrey. His father is William Refield. My greatgreatsomethinggrandfather Thomas Reffel was the son of Joseph Ruffold and grandson of Roger Refeild. Most probably one of my earliest recorded relatives will be William Pinke christened in 1541 buried 1543 son  of Alice Riffold in Dorking, However as well as being by ydna confirmed related to a Mann family and we believe a Ruffell family (the ydna results have not arrived yet for us to be sure) we may also be related to people found recorded or transcribed as Reffew or Reffaw. So if i find relatives transcribed as Raffield, Redfield, Rissoll or Rusfield i shall not be the slightest surprised but only relieved. After all i have seen a letter signed Edwin Reffell asking about his brother Horace Reffelle and i have seen the gravestones of many a  Reffell and Reffelle relative living happlily together at Horton.

Only lists father and mother Henrich Feyen and Susanna Wagener. All other persons are either witnesses (Nicolas Legil and Peter Schmitz) or the official (N. Schintgen).
